Several years ago I set up an account with our travel provider. Front of the plane, window seat, etc. After making the selections for my profile, the last text box was labeled "Other". I typed "No screaming babies." An agent called me back and we had a laugh.

Our data center is in Lakewood, CA and on the next flight to Long Beach a small child stood on the seat in front of me and wailed for hours. On the flight back, the kid behind me kicked the seat and screamed.

Be careful what you ask for.

Are you a fantasy geek like me?
Absolutely! Draft day is one of the best days of the year! I pretty much stick to football and baseball though...Haven't gotten into the hoops and others in terms of fantasy.

Westbrook is a beast...I drafted Chris Johnson too, and he's been a stud pretty much all year...I can't figure Colston out - he should be better. He always seems to have nagging injuries though.

How 'bout Plaxico. You're a lawyer...It's a pretty indefensible case, no? Bloomberg never should have said what he said about it though...Basically judging his guilt through the media...Now how would he get a fair trial in NY? I have not an ounce of sympathy for him though...You have a gazillion dollars...If you're that concerned, hire some muscle.

I don't do criminal work, thank god, so I can't offer any keen insights. I can tell you this...Plaxico is an idiot.

From a fantasy standpoint, though, I'm digging the impact his absence is having on Hixon.

Plaxico - what an idiot. Hire a friggin bodyguard. He is getting killed by the NY media – he and that other knucklehead Marbury on the Knicks. Both guys have also lost the last guys standing in their corners – their teammates.
Plax is very likely to do time, just a matter of how much, probably 80% of 3.5 yrs or if he gets lucky and gets it downgraded to a class D felony, 80% of one year. Must seem funny to folks from places like Texas how Draconian the guns laws are in NYC.
His contract is structured as such so that the Giants will likely be able to recoup/not pay near $30m of the $35m contract. Good for them long term, bad for the short term in the playoffs as Plax routinely drew double teams. Toomer is good but can get a bad case of the drops.
Pretty amazing that with all that goes on in NY sports (Mets annual collapse in Sept. etc. etc), its almost like Brett Who? when I thought for sure I would be totally sick of hearing about him by now.

Plaxico is in deep S&*t. Here in NY we have a pretty strict gun possession law with a mandatory sentance of 3 1/2 years per count. The best i think he can hope for is if Branfman can work out some deal to a lesser charge. IMHO I don't think Burress should be treated any differently from the numerous people who are arrested each day here in NY on gun charges.

How much of a bone head move was it of sticking a hand gun in the waist band of track pants with the safety off. Lots of folks are going down for this. the doc who treated him and did not report it lost his job, there will be be obstruction of justice charges against a host of folks including the club and Buresses teammates, and maybe even some folks from the Giants organization. This story has legs... pardon the oun.

Not to worry about Brett's lack of exposure lately...His three interception playoff performance is on the horizon. Plenty of time to get on Brett.

Brett Favre is the most hyped QB of all time. He has won as many super bowl's as guys like Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams. ESPN has a love affair with Brett Favre.

I have to admit - he did torch my Pats a few weeks ago...Although, everyone's been torching that secondary all season...No great feat.

Being a Bears fan exiled in Wisconsin, I have had more than my fill of Brett Favre mania. I am so glad that he is gone.

Sox, it appears as though little Wes is going to be playing. Now, will Cassel bounce back?

I'm not sure they do the cookies anymore. They are in deep financial trouble (like all airlines). I used to love, love, love Midwest Express. All seats used to be business class. Leather, wide arm rest, two across. The footrest thing ROCKED. I have short legs (or, as I like to say I'm 'petite') and I really like to have something to put my feet on when flying. Usually, I use my carry on bag.

You do have a reason to come to the Midwest Flip! Come visit me and Pete! (And Butkus)

As an aside, it's nice to see everyone playing nicely in the sandbox again. Way to go Pete and Soxfan.

I'm feeling wider today. I'm thinking its time to try that Southwest double wide gambit.

"Yes honey, that extra seat makes you look slimmer."

Yeah, I think Cassel will be fine...This Seahawks D doesn't exactly call to mind the '85 Bears. Lofa Tatupu is a stud in the middle, but other than that I'm not so sure. Moss will probably have a huge day...He's gonna have to. Although, Marcus Trufant is a pretty decent corner who will probably match up with Moss - we'll see.
