Beer geek report from the Cruz Bay brewpub

Post by RickG »

I heard back from Cheech at the brew pub that they are installing a 1.5 barrel (31 US gallons in a barrel) all-grain system. This is a step up from the extract-based system at Foxy's. It's going to be interesting to see how this little system works out. A standard small pub system is 7 barrels. They'll certainly have a lot of opportunities to experiment, they are going to be brewing a lot of batches!

Cheers, RickG

Yummy! I can't wait to check this place out.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I'm definitely stopping in to sample what's on tap when we are there in June. I'm a beer aficionado, former home brewer and beer mister wannabe. Although, I still think an IPA would be a better style for the islands then a pale ale; regardless, nothing is tastier then a fine handcrafted beer.

Cheers,
Bob
