Beach Bar Drink Name

Post by LMarie »

I had a delicious frozen drink at the Beach Bar this summer and have made it several times since I've been home, only I can't remember the name. Didn't know if any of you would happen to know it. It's ingredients are:
passion fruit puree
part of a banana
Cruzan light rum
triple sec
ice

Thanks!

Not a BBC --- at least not the BBC I became slightly addicted to while there in August. Bailey's Banana Colada ... mmmmmmmmm............

Doesn't look like a Beach bar BBC: http://www.beachbarstjohn.com/food_drinks.shtml#bbc

Email them and ask them though, I am sure they could let you know.

This past summer, I wanted Corsairs recipe for their version of Cruzan Voodoo Juice, so I emailed, them and they quickly responded. Thanks to that response, I enjoy it frequently

I thought the recipe for Voodoo juice was on the Cruzan web site, but I could be wrong. I never make it because I don't want to buy a giant bottle of banana rum, but I will order it when I'm out.

Lulu - the Cruzan site does have a recipe for it but when I made it, it didn't taste like what we had at Corsairs which is why I emailed them.

As for the banana rum...leave it out. I have only made it with the banana rum once (from the Cruzan website), and it was way too overpowering. Corsairs said each bartender has their own version too, but gave me the basic guidelines.

I have only had it in Florida. Lots of restaurants down there have it. Is it just equal parts of about six different rums (that's what a Cruzan Melee is too, according to Skinny's menu) or is it something different?

Whatever it is, it is yummy and potent!
