We did have a blast, and I was sorry to miss you. I was also glad not to rent Island Horizons after you because you ruined the pool.mahojim wrote:Lulu-
We missed you by a week. I love the way you write!
Sounds like you had a blast.
Can't wait for more!

I will try to write more this evening. I'm swamped with work and getting ready for Turkey Day at my house!
Here, look at what we've posted of the pictures while you wait for me to get the act together with the trip report.
I think I have isolated the location of the notebook, so maybe I'll do some of it tonight!

Some of them are the other girls' camera, but I think mine are most of them. My camera is a Fuji A920, I believe. Just a point and click one, because I'm too dumb for anything else. I do really love the pictures it takes, although I'd give anything to be able to take a good picture of St. Thomas at night! They still didn't look great even with 9 megapixels.
One of the other girls has the Olympus waterproof outfit that she bought from the link here (850 maybe?) and two of the girls have those Nikon Coolpix, I believe. I think they have the same camera.
I'm quite pleased with mine. I think my favorite picture is the one of Maho with the shadows of the palm trees on the beach.
I didn't take nearly as many pictures this time. I think I realized that I'd be back again for more memories!

You're right. It was an Olympus SW850 and I did purchase it through the forum's link. Support the forum!
It was the first time using it and I'm pleased with how easy it was to use. I was really pleased with the sunset setting and how the photos turned out. However, the night photos of St. Thomas did not come out even with the night setting.
I will now end the camera review so LuLu can get on with posting the trip report.

Lulu, you're killing me! I thought I had a cast iron liver. Could the person you're referring to on Jost be Nippy? This gentleman took a liking to me several years ago and followed me up and down the beach asking to be my boyfried. He said "we like your kind on our island", while ignoring my much smaller (size 6) travel mates.
The next time I'm in Nashville on business, I'll have to look you up!
Cheers,
Christine
