HELP!
Vicki-
Surely you're either getting the idea, and you'll be as relieved as possible when you realize you're there, or you just wanted to give everyone on this forum, a cyber hug!
Hopefully both...if not, you're getting a hug anyway, dammmit. That's right,- 3 m's in my "dammit".
That breeze is the most intoxicating thing that I've ever experienced. Whoops, I was drunk, so my memory might not be "right-on". My friends told me that I had a super time...
You have the tickets, you know what you're in for, just go!
We're jealous and happy for you.

Vicki, I was the same way last December. It was also our second trip that year. Maybe a smidge of taking our Paradise for granted?? But once we got there and stepped off the ferry I WAS THERE!!! It'll happen for you as well.
In the meantime..............just the THOUGHT OF MEETING GROMIT & TONY STEWART should get ya going!!!!!
Seriously girl if you can't make it I'm sick with grief over not going at all this year, SEND ME YOUR TICKETS!!!!!!!!

No, Please let it not be so. Vicki can not be in a slump about going to her favorite place. We booked Sunnyledge in May just because of your glowing reports! So, think of that magical place, the beautiful view, and find the website for the StThomas radio station. I believe I read on the forum somewhere that they stream their broadcasts. Nothing like a little reggae to put you in the mood!

I don't have a trip on calendar to ANYWHERE (okay, except Hilton Head in February, but it's not exactly beach weather and I have to run a half-marathon, which I don't consider relaxing).
I know it's hard sometimes to get in the mood, but once you're on your way, you'll be plenty excited. I think that once you've become very familiar with a vacation locale, your excitement about visiting dissipates a bit, since there's no anxiety about getting lost or worries about not being able to fit everything in. If you arrive at Red Hook and still aren't excited, give me a call. I'll tell you about the collateral reviews I'm doing here in the office, and that will either: (a) put you to sleep or (b) make you happy you're not in my office.

I love you Ruth! This will work, Vicki. I say it to myself sometimes at work when I have had enough of work day. The people I work with have no idea what I am talking about....and they stay away from me.StJohnRuth wrote:You must great every person you see (including The Mayor) with the words "mekka lekka hi".
If they don't reply "mekka heiny ho", then you say to yourself "Loser. NO WONDER I am going to St. John on vacation".
I'm pretty sure you can't get fired for this.
