Flip-Flop's little man is here!
Hello all ...
I just wanted to report that the miniest Flip-Flop has arrived. January 30th at 4:50 am ... about two weeks ahead of schedule!
He came out screaming. He looked great at first and all of his vitals were strong. He was taken to the NICU for observation. After an entire day of good reports and really no major concerns, the neonatologist decided that he might have a problem and transferred him to larger Hospital's NICU on Tuesday night. Needless to say that was not a good night. I was barely able to see him before the transport team arrived to take him to G'town.
After 3 days of observation and many, many tests at Georgetown they ruled out surgery. It appears everything is working as it should. He was able to come home on Friday. As soon as I was released from the hospital we went straight to get him.
He's home, happy, and very, very mellow. Just like a STJ boy should be!

Mini Flip Flop
Congratulations! I am so glad that everything worked out well for you and the little one. When my DD was born (lo these 16 years ago!) she had a problem and was whisked off to NICU when she was 12 hours old so I totally understand the horror of that experience! What did you name him? Tevo? Quiet Mon? Francis? Maho?

Many, many congratulations
So where's the photo of our little "John" or "Francis" or even "Reef" (I guess Jumbie and Gibney probably are not in the running
)
Seriously though, I am soooo glad all is well and that you will all be enjoying many happy moments together as a wonderful family both here and Stateside

Flip-flop, your's was the first post I read when I logged on to the forum this morning! I'm thrilled for all of you and so happy that even after a big scare at the very end, he's just fine! It was all those good vibes everyone sent and continues to send! Can't wait to see a picture! Congratulations!
