French Cap--Villa Claudia??

Post by XOXO »

We don't want to be too far off the beaten path. We sometimes feel a little more safe with neighbors.

Other:

a pool and:
hot tub it the pool isn't heated

kitchen

we are going go on a couple of excersions so not too far from Cruz Bay

2 BR

clean clean clean

comfortable furniture

attentive rentee's

That is it. Any thoughts? My husband, myself, 16 YO son, and 13 YO son are going over Thanksgiving.

Finding a villa is so overwhelming!!

Villa Claudia is in a nice area (we stayed just up the hill at Villa Panache one year) and would seem to suit your needs. I'd prefer Villa Splendore on Maria Bluff if its available. Sea Stone (in same neighborhood as Splendore) would also be a good fit, and its newer. Don't worry too much---any of these three (and many others) would be great.

Between the two choices it's Villa Claudia hands down. Just compare the pools alone and their's no comparison!! Gina, I don't think you're ever going to make up your mind  . I used to do the same thing, agonizing over the decision (OK, I still do but not quite so much). Put yourself out of your misery and make your reservation and don't look back. There are no bad locations on STJ.

Thank you!

Now it is between Splendor and Claudia. I have emailed both of them to see if they are available.

If they both are we are going to stay at Splendor because of the hot tub. I have no idea where the location is but I will take Iowa Guys word for it that it isn't too far off the beaten path.

If only Claudia is open that is perfectly ok because Claudia appears to have more comfortable furniture. It is beautiful.

Sound like you can't go wrong no matter what. Splendore does look very nice and it's on Maria Bluff which is convienent to town too. The villa is the hardest part that's for sure.

Gina---I really think you'd be very happy with either of those two villas---Splendore or Claudia. They are both in very nice neighborhoods and they are both relatively close to Cruz Bay. I prefer the view of Splendore since you see the sunset and lights of St. Thomas, and the fact that it has a hot tub, but Claudia has a bigger pool which your teens may enjoy---either would be a wonderful spot for a family trip. Here are some photos of Splendore (not mine).

I looked at those pictures. They are fantastic. I hope it is available. It is exactly what we want. My fingers are crossed. Thank you for the suggestion.

Splendor was booked

Post by XOXO »

I was going to book splendor and apparently she wasn't looking at the right info and it is booked.

I am now leaning toward Altamira. I think the location looks good and it has a hot tub and pool. The price is right also.

I almost booked Seawatch but it is up higher than I would like. Also, at Altamira we can get to a beach (I am sure not sandy but still a beach) easily and Cruz Bay is close by.

Your thoughts??
