Villa Divertimento

Post by igram »

First time poster here....

Does anyone have any info on Villa Diverimento in Chocolate Hole? It looks nice-I am concerned about it being near construction-any feedback would be great. Here is the url

Thanks

We (my husband and I) are looking for a comfortable, safe, quiet place to hang out with good proximity to Cruz Bay and we don't want to spend a fortune. We would like a pool, view and functional kitchen-someplace that we could hang all day with a book and not feel like we were compromising our vacation time. We were quoted a very fair price for the villa-and I would jump on it in a minute but there are no reviews and I just wanted to know if this place would meet our needs. I would love your feedback!

Based on the pics, I'm thinking that you would be staring straight across at Pond bay construction. HArd to tell though from the pics posted. You'd have to ask the rental co. If you ask a direct question, they are supposed to give you a direct answer.

So ask how Ponde Bay construction on Choc Hole affects this villa in terms of view and location.

There are lots of choices on island. Personally, while I love Choc Hole area (we stayed there 5 times over the past 10 years) -- I am avoiding it like the plague until that construction is complete. But that's just me.

Here is what the villa owner wrote:

The construction near by is owned by the Meyer's of the Lime Inn, who have put the project on hold pending sale of one of their other properties. The large project about a mile away is the Pond Bay Club and is not noticeable, except for low level background noise.

Any thoughts

Judging from the view photo on the web site it looks like you'd be staring straight at the construction. The noise might not be an issue cause you're across from it, but it is DEFINITELY going to affect your view.

Here's what i am talking about: http://www.on-stjohn.com/2008/10/09/rec ... his-beach/

igram-- just double check. It's hard to tell from the photos on the villa web site. But I think I'm right.

Divertimento Villa Chocolate Hole

Post by Beachnut »

Anyone have anymore info on Divertimento Villa in Chocolate Hole? Construction updates in the area? Is Chocolate Hole a nightmare in the off-season (May/June) due to all the new construction...and the Pond Club construction? Let me know....
