No...it's not a drinking problem

Post by pipanale »

Well, it kinda is. I often have a problem deciding what rum to drink. I just counted. We have 31 bottles of rum in the house. I think there are 18 different kinds.

We couldn't help ourselves. Up here in Wake County, NC, they don't sell any good brands. But down at the beach, we can get more gooder stuff. We picked up Pusser's, Cockspur and Tortuga today before we drove home. We also got a tankard of "Cruzan Aged Rum". Never seen that variety before. The label looks all old and sophisticated-like.

Yay Rum!

Rum gooood.

I've got a crock pot full of beef stew cooking at home. Instead of 3 cups of water, I put in 2 cups of water & a cup of Old New Orleans dark rum. Sure smelled good when I left the house this morning!

I guess that would qualify more as an eating problem than a drinking problem though.

I'm right with you on the problem. I'm not sure how I'm going to pick just six bottles to bring home next week.

LULU!! You've never seen the Pirates movies?? I'm apalled! LOL! When you get home from STJ it is your mission to rent all three of them!

I was watching "Dead Man's Chest" on TV the other night and I recognized Dead Chest Island off of Peter Island! :D

If you like Johnny Depp (pant, pant!) the you will love him in these movies!

One of them is in the DVD collection in our living room. (My housemate's.) I've been meaning to watch it but I never seem to have time. And now, I have yet another project before I leave on vacation. Lovely.

See them in the correct sequence. The story flows much better and the charactors develop better.

My favorite bottle of rum is one I bought on our honeymoon. It is shaped like a policeman. Something about a policeman shaped bottle of rum really cracks me up. It's still unopened, I will have to try it one of these days.

And yes, LuLu, you HAVE to watch Pirates. Johnny Depp has always been my dream man, and he is at his handsomest in Pirates!

Really? I have not seen the Pirates movies either and I got nothing on Johnny Depp! He doesn't do a thing for me!

Maybe if I manage to get my home clean and my laundry done and my kitty ready for her vet trip tomorrow, then I will watch the first one before I go. It would get me into island time.

If I had a fancy ipod that let you watch movies (mine's old school), I'd download it and watch it on the plane.

A note about putting rum in beef stew:

Don't.

At least not a whole cup full.
