CA ferry running yet?

Post by Lulu76 »

We'll be arriving Saturday afternoon, and I was wondering if the downtown ferry is back up and running, or if we will have to go to Red Hook.

If we're going to have a long taxi ride, I am wondering if I should see if Miss Rachel is available (or some other private taxi driver, if anyone has suggestions). There will be three of us.

I had a pretty traumatic taxi experience last year, and I am trying to minimize the chances of that happening again.

It never stopped running. There were less trips. I think they are back to normal now, as a 9:15 left this morning arriving here at 10. Will check on the others.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I meant to ask if it was running on its normal schedule, not to imply that it had stopped running altogether.

Thanks for the update. Looks like I will be hopping on it Saturday!

Island time soon come!

I am also interested especially if the 4pm is running from CA.

I prefer the longer ferry ride vs. longer cab ride!

After my experience last year, I definitely prefer the shorter cab ride vs. shorter ferry ride. It's just so much easier on the CA ferry and I hate waiting for that cab to Red Hook, especially when we missed our ferry because our driver decided that nine people and luggage wasn't full enough.
