Timing is everything

Post by soxfan22 »

In an earlier post today, I invoked the name Sirhan Sirhan. As I stated earlier, Sirhan Sirhan is the man who killed Bobby Kennedy, and is also the man that many people feel introduced our country to Islamic Terrorism for the first time.

Obama's old friend, Bill Ayers, wrote a book that served as the Weather Underground's manifesto, titled "Prarie Fire". Ayers dedicated that book to about 100 U.S. political prisoners - including Sirhan Sirhan.

I just don't understand how people cannot connect the dots here. Obama has substantial connections with:

Ayers
Wright
Rezko
Pfleger
Rashid Khalidi

And yes flip - I did hear this on H&C. Can't depend on the LA Times to deliver the news!

Oh, crap. I just wish I'd seen this before I went to the polls and stood in line for 45 minutes.

It's getting old sox. Face it. You and your minions have been out-republicanned. Your message is not resonnating, and you're not helping your cause. I voted for W in 2000, but I ain't falling for it again. The Zombie party needs a new brain.

Sox,
Really. Stop. You remind me of the old bald headed Repubican that can't let it go.

Please stop and keep your identity.

Wish I'd known that in 2000.

-9. I was born in 1977. Why do you ask, Pete?

Gravitas. You are bright and obviously motivated. But, you lack gravitas.

I'm not terribly old (about to turn 49), but I remember my parents crying when Bobby Kennedy was killed. Their emotion compelled me to learn about the event.

I know from your blog that you respect the late President Reagan. But, you were not old enough to even vote for him.

I get the sense that much of what has formed your opinions is from that which you have read. I just think that, at times, there is no substitute for having actually lived it.

Gravitas.

Sox,
You are so negative. I'm interested in your life. Are you living this negative life style...and if so how is it working for you? Palin talks your walk.

I appreciate your comments, Pete. I agree there is no substitute for having lived through an era. I have heard many say that 1963 - 1968 was perhaps the most turbulent era in the history of this nation (with all of the assassinations). Would you agree?

When I was probably 9 or 10, I asked my Dad who he thought was the greatest president in his lifetime (he was born in '47)...He named two - JFK and Reagan. He was born during the Truman administration, but was not old enough to have lived it, which is why I suspect he left him out. So, your point is well taken.

it's rather like that part in the children's story Rumplestilsken where the fair maiden remembers the troll's name and he self destructs.

you do have a great deal of passion soxfan, but i do agree, you need a bit of perspective.
