My friend got engaged at Ram Head and she loved it.
My favorite place on the island is where we got married. Get on Trunk Bay beach and make a left and walk all the way down.

Pick Cinnimon Beach....then you can buy this wall mural and actually point to the spot where you proposed when your friends ask.

You can find it in a bunch of places but here is one...http://www.creativewallcovering.com/Mer ... e=cwegc811

It's hard to go wrong on any beach in STJ for this special moment but I like the idea of Truck because there are so many pictures of the Truck Bay overlook. You see it in magazines all the time and everytime you do you'd have that memory associated with the picture. If you go early you'd have the place pretty much to yourself no matter where you go.

I love Maho too in the morning but Hawksnest is a beautiful morning beach and way to the right against the rock wall is my favorite spot on Hawksnest and there's a very private little cove of sea grape bushes there that make it a very pretty spot.

Okay Gromit....thanks for the correction....but it looks like they are certainly selling them labeled "Cinnamon Bay Photo Wall Murals"

and now that I look at it.....well it does seem to fit my memory of Trunk Bay better... (he said sheepishly)

David --

Ahh my fellow Virginian, methinks they are trying too hard to tap into the Kenny Chesney market -- as I think that this type of "art" (and I use the term VERY loosely) -- might appeal to many of his fans.

Alas, the only thing that graces my walls is paint and dog fur.

(Although I - sheepishly - admit to liking KC's music!)

Gromit.....while it will probably cause a stampede of posts on here by having two posters admitting it in a row....I like his muisc a great deal! Have for years......even before I knew he was a big fan of STJ....that only made him better!

Oh, and (meaning no insult to others "artistic tastes") no wall murals grace any walls in my house either.....even if I lost my mind and tried....my more level headed wife would smack me until I stopped think that we needed one.

Well, I am still making that decision, but I think you are correct. (Course, I have been making that decision for over 32 years now.)

Hubby and I just celebrated our 10th.

Met him playing paintball. I was wearing a Duffy's Love Shack t-shirt, some camo pants, combat boots and -- wait for it-- lipstick.

The rest is history. As he likes t say "Till death do us part, baby. Til death do us part. If we get tired of one another- one of us just has to die."

Fortunately I'm a better shot ;-)

great story...and congrats on the decade. Maybe next time some camo lipstick will help improve the odds.

Despite the fact that my husband and I wed on Cinnamon Bay... :D

And despite the fact that I am, by definition, obsessed with STJ... :?

Hands down White Bay, JVD...early in the morning...with no one else on the beach. JMHO. Nuff said.

Congrats!

I like your style Gromit. My DH and I celebrated our 45th in May this year in STJ. For 45 years I've always told him, "Nobody leaves breathing!" So far so good. :D
