Source for goat or mutton?
Nope Hugo I'm talking goats. We had to stop for them to cross right before all the signs at the crossroads coming out of Coral Bay. They came out of the brush and just kept coming and coming started to go and out of the brush came another big wave of them. Hundred might be an exageration but at least fifty or so. I believe dave on this board had a encounter with them also. YUM CURRY GOAT
I'll keep an eye out for the sheep but this hick knows the difference between a goat and a sheep

There is goat meat at Cost-U-Less. I heard a lady ask for gut meat at the meat counter. The counter worker pointed and said, 'mommy...it over dere'. And, no I did not buy any. I left it for Rick.

Well I'll be darn if thats the case those are the weirdest lookin sheep I've ever seen. Yall live there so I'll go with ya on it. But in a month I'm going on a sheep/goat hunt to try and confirm this. I'll make sure I get some a$$ shots to confirm. I've seen some mighty pretty sheep in my day but ya guys sure growem ugly down there. They probably look better at 2am with your beer glasses on

I need a better a$$ shot to be sure
No really would guess goats at first glance but upon closer inspection they really look like sheep with goat coloring. Sheep are much thicker and full looking than goats. They very well could have been sheep just never seen sheep that look like that they were all different colors and patterns. When we go on our sheep /goat hunt I will be able to impress everyone if they do turn out to be sheep by telling everyone the up down tail thing. See just when ya think ya know what ya need about St John from the board ya learn something new. Gotta love it gonna be alot of forumulite checking goat /sheep a$$es now.

We have the Coral Bay goat/sheep argument frequently enough with some in our usual STJ group that I gave up. I figured they were being raised for meat, but I guess the real estate tax exemption is more profitable.
Puddlejumper, I'm surprised you've never done BBQ goat. Cabrito is tasty and easy!!
