Hmm...I must just be blocked by heavy leaves or something.

Ruth if you can wait two weeks, I'll pinch you :)
Glad everyone is ok.

Talk about dodging a bullet.
Omar passed as a category 3 hurricane to the east, more or less half way between the BVI and Anguilla, with a hurricane force windfield 35 miles wide. Closest point of storm center passage was about 44 miles southeast of Coral Bay, 38 miles southeast of Tortola, 32 miles southeast of Virgin Gorda, and 30 miles southeast of Anegada.
So glad for all of our friends in the VIs.

  I woke up in the middle of the night to check all the weather sites. I just couldn't sleep.

I am glad that everything seems to be ok and the view from the webcam is just beautiful!

That beached sailboat is still there. Looks like the surf is still up quite a bit.

I'm relieved there was no major damage for you guys. You were my last thoughts before I went to sleep.

Like many, couldn't wait to get up this morning and hear how "our islands" made out.

Sooooo happy for all of you island residents (Hi, Ruth!) and, of course, happy for all of us Virgin Island lovers!! Close call - but, it does look like a serious bullet was dodged!

WooHoo!!

Again, couldn't be happier that it appears that all are safe.

Was a bit startled this morning when I saw that Omar was a cat 3, then realized that it passed pretty far east of the islands. Sweet news! Hope the power comes back on soon and all is back to normal in short order 8)
