Question for the VI boaters...
My wife called and asked me what the name of "that book" we got so much use out of on our first trip to STJ was (Feet, Fins, & Four Wheel Drive).
She knows some folks that are planning on taking their boat to the VIs and she thought they would benefit from reading it.
My question is: Is there a book that you consider the "nautical equivalent" of FF&4WD?

Come see us!
The "cruising Guide to the VI " by Nancy and Simon Scott is about the closest nautical equivalent - there is also a large format 'chart and aerial photo combo' book available at marine stores that is very helpful for harbor entrances in particular - I know the 1st, Scott book is available on Amazon not sure about the chart combo one.
I've read almost all the way through the VI Cruising Guide and I can recommend it. It's got all kinds of good info on each island (where to eat, shop, etc.) and all that "boat stuff" like moorings and where to get fuel and things! Very useful! Like Exit Zero said, it's kind of like FF&FWD for the water.
They can order it from Amazon, but here's the website too, they have a lot of other good books on the subject!
