I was about to pen an impassioned response, but then realized it will only encourage this kind of stuff more... so I will simply say How's Ella this morning?

In case anyone missed the link when I posted it on another thread:

It identifies different internet personality disorders, some of them prominent on this forum. It aids me in keeping things in perspective and not becoming too reactive.

I don't think anyone needs YOU to point them to anything. Everyone has their own opinion, and I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say, please keep it to yourself and vote your concience. Thank you.

The goading tactic of guilt by association. That one goes nicely with the Ayers story. Well done Sox.

Interesting article about the founder of AIM (Accuracy in Media) which is well known to be a conservative watch dog group. They are the source of Sox's article.

Now there is nothing wrong with being a media watch group, we have those on the far left too.

However, Reed Irvine (founder of AIM) was so far right that he claimed there was a conspiracy in the Republican party, YES I said the REPUBLICAN party to "suppress investigations of Clinton administration scandals."

Other published reports from AIM (and they are all over the board):

Hillary’s Gay TV Appearance

The North Pole is Ours, Not Russia’s

Bush Sides With Mexican Killers Against U.S.

In all cases, I say, PLEASE consider the source of your information. I am not saying that to be flip. I agree there is some bias in the media, but I think the media is so sensitive to it that they sometimes err far on the side of caution to the point of leaving the "liberal" candidate twisting in the wind. Look what happened to Hillary. I would not say the media was kind to her.

Either way, I am careful of the sources I quote. That whole guilt by association thing can come back to bite you.

Here's an even more interesting article about how much of a screw-up, womanizing, conniving guy McCain is:

Hmmm...graduated 894 out of a class of 899 at the Naval Academy. Impressive.

It’s sad. I was considering voting for the 2000 McCain but his campaign was derailed in South Carolina by that ugly whisper campaign - rumors that he had fathered a black baby out of wedlock as opposed to the real story that he and his wife Cindy were adopting a Bangladeshi infant girl.

It's been widley published that Mrs. McCain was furious about that, but apparently all is forgiven, because the irony is that the current tactics McCain and Palin are using against Obama are being orchestrated by some of the same win-at-all-costs people who are now running his campaign.

Even sadder to think that it still works on some, but maybe not on most this time around because maybe we got more important things to worry about. Not only has the economic mess sunk our 401k's, but it looks like it has sunk the effects of desperate Swift Boat tactics too.

About that black baby rumor: presumably the mother was black, because we know McCain is white. If a black mother and a white father produce a black baby, then do a black father and a white mother produce a white baby? If so, Barrack is then technically white, but, OMG, he has fathered not one, but two black babies. Shocking!

Sage advice, to be sure...However, most of this article was taken from bits and pieces of Obama's books.

Are these not facts?

1. Obama attended many socialist conferences during his days in Chicago

2. Obama wrote a book titled "Dreams from my Father"

3. In that book, he repeatedly refers to an important person in his life - however only refers to him as "Frank"

4. Many people, including Trevor Loudon, Gerald Horne (editor of the communist party journal Political Affairs), and Dr. Kathryn Takara (professor at The University of Hawaii) have said that indeed, the "Frank" in Obama's book is reference to Frank Marshall Davis

5. Frank Marshall Davis was a REGISTERED member of the Communist Party USA.

5. According to Obama's book, "Frank" read him poems, gave him advice on his career path, was full of "hard-earned knowledge, gave him advice before leaving for college in 1979, etc.

6. Gerald Horne, that editor of Political Affairs (communist journal), said that "Davis came into contact with Obama and his family and became the young man's mentor, influencing Obama's sense of identity and career moves".

7. Is it not written in Obama's book that a few days before he left for college, he told Barry not "to start believing what they tell you about equal opportunity and the American way and all that stuff" (well, he didn't say stuff).

8. It is also true that Frank Chapman, a supporter of the Communist Party USA sent a letter to the party newspaper hailing Barack Obama's win in the Iowa caucuses

This stuff is more than guilt by association...You guys hate Bush so much that you are willing to prop up a man who has deep ties to Socialism/Marxism/Communism (Davis), Domestic Terrorism (Ayers), and outright racism (Rev. Wright).

I have a theory about young Obama...His Dad tragically left the family when Obama was young, leaving him with no male influence in his formitive years...Men like Davis walked into his life, spouting off about inequality, anti-capitalism, racism, etc...He went to Occidental College and then on to Columbia where nobody knew him because he was trying to find himself, by himself.

After Harvard, he was recruited to his community organizing position by non other than the son of Saul Alinsky...After getting to Chicago, he met up with Bill Ayers, who was spouting off about the same things that Davis used to tell him back in Hawaii - all the while attending socialist conferences. And of course, he sat in the church of Rev. Wright, who not only officiated Obama's wedding, but baptised his children.
