I'm tired of all this political talk...

I think for many, even though we may not be interested in the political discussion itself, we are interested in the personalities and the interaction. I admit, I despise political discussions. I have my opinion and I am pretty bull-headed. There is no amount of discussion that will sway me from my point-of-view. However, I end up reading it anyway because of the people. I am interested in the personalities. I think those of us that are drawn to this forum do so because of the interpersonal element. Otherwise, we would just go read a website that had no interactive component. It is simple human nature to want to know more about the characters involved. So, we read the political thread anyway!

And don't worry, I'll vote, right after I read all the fun threads about crafts, white pants, shoes, and handbags.

I am a political beast so I love all the political talk even the redundant. Even that with which I disagree! I am a sick person. I can't help it.

Give us junkies our 20something more days. Then we can all get back to what's really important. Our next trip to St. JOHN! :)

I enjoy seeing the different personalities and reading the different viewpoints expressed on this forum, political or otherwise.. But, when people can't voice an opinion unless it's accompanied by some personal, snide, or meanspirited remark, I don't place much value on that opinion.

I don't believe polital talk should be banned, especially since this is the OT forum. If I'm not interested in a topic, I move on. But, I do agree that the number of new election threads was excessive. There comes a point where you have to agree to disagree, hit the period key, and move on.

I personally have enjoyed the point of views on the canidates. Have actually learned some stuff. It can get a little testy at times but that is the nature of talking politics. I say keep it coming as the board has been a little slow on the St John side and I need some foder to read. The elections soon come and the trip reports will be flying in a month. I do feel for the poor guy who wins this race. He will have his work cut out for him trying to clean up this mess were in right now
