I'm with Marcia ~ Shoe's are MY thing!!! I have 3 totes (you know those BIG plastic totes you normally put x-mas stuff in) that just hold the "other" seasons shoes

But, in answer to your question X ~ I personally like the Kipling Candy Handbag/Convertible Backpack (http://www.ebags.com/kipling/candy_top_ ... delid=9811) to travel. It's small but lots of compartments for organization. You can change the straps from the backpack position to a shoulder bag and it also has a handle if you want to take the straps off all together. It comes in lots of different colors but you have to search for them. Seems that each luggage place on sells certain colors. The think I like best is that it is the Kipling material that seems to last forever and not get dirty. It's also machine washable

XOXO

Oh, Anthony, I didn't know any men even knew that existed! Good for you, even if you did find it by accident! Ladies, if you like http://purseblog.com/ then you gotta check out http://www.bagsnob.com/ too.

Love it.

I justify expensive purses by telling myself, "But it will last me for YEARS..." knowing good and well I'll buy a different one in 6 months...

Vicky you sound like my wife. The worst problem she would give me that story and bat her eye's and I'd say who do I pay.

My new justification: "I am just trying to satisfy a deep emotional need I have due to the fact that I never got a gap year."

I don't like regular purses but I love backpacks. I have about 10 different ones. Right now for work I am carrying a black Hermes one that John brought back from a business trip. It has a removable top that you can snap on to convert it to a handbag (I don't!). It's big enough to hold my book and a couple of bottles of water, plus the usual necessities.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I'm not sure if you have already heard of ruelala.com or regentssecret.com but they sell high end clothing, bags, shoes etc at huge discounts. If you are interested email me. It is invitation only. They have Linea Pelle bags soon on Regents. I've purchased Juicy, Cole Haan, Dior etc.

P-600- I Love ruelala! I have grabbed some great deals!
Marybeth, you would love it, they have a few Vera sales a year. You just have to be fast, when they email you, you need to hit the site immediately and order it as soon as you see it.

I'm both a shoes and purses junkie - they always fit!

I think we bought our current house because it was so close to DSW

The sites are great! Ruelala's sales start at 11am est. they usually can sell out within a few hours if its a good brand. Regents starts midnight california time I have been up at 3am many times to get a deal. My daughter just had a baby and I bought my grand-daughter 12th street baby clothes today. Too cute. Regents tends to have hipper fashion and ruelala more classic. They also have Henckels knives coming up this week.

xislandgirl,
Do you have an annawilliam bag? You pick the materials and style and they make it for you. Check out annawilliam.com. They are located here in the Boston area-- Newburyport to be exact. They update their materials each season. Really cute and unique.

I don't have an annawilliam but I have a coworker that loves them. I like them but I can sew and they price just seems outrageous for a sewn bag. I am starting to make some Amy Butler bags for Christmas gifts and I find that I want to keep them for myself
