....is excise tax relief for Rum in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. I am all for tax relief on alcoholic beverages but did it need to be included in the Bailout?

Huh? In the first place, I'm so impressed that you actually read that whole thing! And in the second place, I'm with you... where does rum figure in? :?

Bacardi pays their lobbyists lots of money. I'm guessing that's why it's in the bailout bill.

If rum is involved in the bailout of the economy, I am apparently going to have a bigger role than I thought.

No, I didn't read the Bailout Plan. That's funny. Talk radio in Boston was discussing the crazy things included in the Bailout Package and this was one of them--I had to google to be sure. What are they thinking? There are soo many more important thing going on right now--but I will definitely benefit from this one! :D

They also used it to repeal an excise tax on the manufactuer of toy wooden arrows, it will save a particular company in Oregon about $200,000. I wonder what the company paid to get that thrown in. No wonder Congress has a 10% approval rating.

Whew! You had me worried there for a minute P-600!

I need copious amounts of rum just to listen to the news these days, so I guess I'm part of it too, Lulu!

I'm really hoping that the tourism commissioner, Beverly Nicholson Doty (how scary that I know her name? Thanks to Russ and Jeff.), reads this board. I'm thinking solo cups!! I need more booze to survive the cab to Red Hook!

My favorite pork-barrel project has been the money for NASCAR to build new tracks. Seriously?
