My son was born and raised here and he took his first trip to the beach when he was less than a month old and I SWEAR by this stuff....Coppertone Spectra3 (can be bought at www.cvs.com year round). I've been using this stuff on him since he was small, and with blond hair and blue eyes, and sensitive skin, this was the best. It's waterproof, and it kind of spreads out if you happen to miss a spot. He has never had a burn (now 7) except when he had "other stuff" applied. The thing that bothers me most with visitors is the ones who let their children get burned. I just hate hate hate to see this! It only takes about 10 minutes to get a burn here and most people just don't think about it. It is not unusual for us to have a UV index of 10+ by 10am. So be careful! Be safe! And PLEASE, if you have children, protect them! Sunburns and sun poisoning are common down here and it is something that can be avoided.
