Jim, although just the thought of frozen hotdog water makes wretch, my husband, Rick, says that would be a great idea for dogs! Dogcicles!

I do have a spread for crackers that uses liverwurst and other things mixed together. Yummy.

I thought the hot-dog-sicles were good for dogs, too. I think you're on to something, Jim.

My dad loves fresh side. I think it's gross.

My sister-in-law, from Mexico eats lengua and menudo. I just can't do it.

If you call liverwurst braunschweiger, it makes it sound better. Actually, Marcia and I just call it "poor man's pate"...we love the $hit.

How about hot dog water with bourbon...franks and Beam's. Sorry about that. It just slipped out.

Hot dog water and bourbon? I could probably find someone in Kentucky who would drink that. Especially if I threw in a Moon Pie and Ale-8-One.

You guys are hysterical. Franks and Beams?!? Too funny. If you don't like it, would that make you a Franks and Beamer Blasphemer?
I hope you realize that it was pretty much a joke..., but some of you have me thinking...

Forget getting Alton Brown and hot dogs together. Ironically we just returned from in SC where we
ate at a place Alton visited on a Feasting on Asphalt road trip. He claimed to have the best hot dog of his life. Cosmic Dog was cute with all kinds of Jetson's
props but the dogs would have tasted better boiled in Beam.

Maybe I am being mean but all this talk of Taylor Ham made me mad that we wasted a precious lunch eating there. By the way, all you kind visitors that bring me frozen Taylor Hams, please remember the HARD ROLL! Just not the same without it and yes I am originally a North Jersey girl.

Funny, we were standing in the grocery store on Sunday and were reading the ingredients on the Taylor Pork Roll. Of particular interest was the "Lactic acid starter culture." Ahhh, a cured meat product. It's true, everything is better once its fermented.

Time to order more starter culture? Mmmmm, Bactoferm-ilicous!
