Which Days is Vie's Beach Closed?

Post by benchill »

If it ever quits raining, we would like to head over to Vie's Beach. Does anyone remember which days she closes access to the beach? If memory serves, beach is closed on Sunday and Monday. Am I right?

This time last year she was closed for the off-season. I'm not sure if that's the case this year.

If it is, there's a little tiny beach also owned by her family big enough for about 4 people that you can use. It's right down the street, you'll see it off to the right.

That's what we did last year when she was closed all week. But you don't get her food that way.

I believe (but not 100%) it is open all year unless she is having a family/private party :)

If the "restaurant" is closed you put your money in the box.

Her box that you pay for beach access says "Beach Closed Sunday and Monday"...I think....I can't remember which days it says "Closed" for. Her snack shack is almost always closed in September but we love using the beach.

I must not know the secret handshake or something, because we were going to just put our money in the box like I'd read here, but the gate was locked.

I'm hoping we get it all figured out in the next six weeks, because we definitely want to get over there this time.

When I was there in May, the "locked gate" days were Sunday and Monday.

We are going to be in St. John at the end of November. I would love to visit Vie's, if for no other reason than the food I have heard so much about. I cannot remember where Vie's is located, and would appreciate it if someone could refresh my memory. We would most certainly like to go there! :D

Just take Centerline Road to Coral Bay and keep going past Skinny's. Go up the hill and down the hill and up the hill and around the turns and back down the hill  (Sorry, I couldn't resist) Anyway, just follow the road past Skinny's and you'll hit it eventually. Her Snack Shack is on the left and you will see the sign. The beach is on the right. Remember to order some of Miss Vie's homemade Sweet Tea - YUM!!
