The big house on the point at Peter Bay - is this it?

Post by petepie »

Can anyone tell if this is the big house that they've been building for years in Peter Bay? (earlier rumors were that it was owned by the head of monster.com)?

Beautiful house, but it just doesn't give you the island feel of St John in my opinion. Just my opinion.

I'm going to run and duck after I say this, but...

I think it's really beautiful.

ALW, I agree - gorgeous! I would love to take a shower in that open air garden shower. $22k a week a low season - not for me but I can always dream.

I find it pretty funny that everyone cursed this ROCK MONSTER the entire time it was under construction. Now that it's done, everyone would fight to stay there if they had the bucks!

So Jorge.... when are you taking us all there??

It's very lovely, although a tad bit ostentatious. Not that I'll ever have $22K for a week, but I really like the more homey villas. (Maybe it's because I can't afford 22K a week...)

That is the house that Google built. We went there by boat in August and got the scoop from our Captain.

I agree- while it is beautiful and located on an ideal piece of land, it's a bit too fancy for my tastes. I'd be nervous that we'd break some decorative piece worth more than our house!
Did anyone else see the guidelines for bringing children? They need to be "accompanied by a babysitter or a nanny". How about parents? Perhaps it is assumed that those who can spend 22K for the week have a nanny. Just thought it was a funny statement to include in the website...

That's funny! I guess the Captain got his info from the coconut line. All kinds of rumors out there:) It's a nice house, nothing wrong with living the good life on the best island! I just have fingers crossed that Maho doesnt turn into another Peter Bay.

There's no doubt it's beautiful, but it doesn't really look like the kind of place where you can kick back with a beer, and sit on the sofa eating chips out of the bag. I just don't think it would be very relaxing to feel that you had to "dress" for breakfast!

For the price I'm shocked that it doesn't come with a nanny!

Never trust what your boat captain says. We had one tell us KC's house was Dave Matthew's house. I was CONSIDERABLY more interested when I thought it was DM's. Talk about pulling out my best stalker skills ;)
