Re: July Full Moon Party at Miss Lucy's
So I just called Miss Lucy's and her Full Moon Party for July is going to be on Tues July 23rd rather than the 22nd (the actual full moon) since the 22nd is a Mon and they are closed. Unfortunately this doesn't work for us since we leave the morning of the 23rd, but I wanted to give everyone a heads...

STR1996 - Wow are we in the same boat! My husband and I visited St John about 10 years ago (kids were little & stayed w/grandparents) and we have been planning on returning w/our kids someday ever since. We leave 7/16. We have a boy age 12 and daughter that is almost 11. We usually vacation in t...

Oasis restaurant in Coral Bay?
We'll be in Coral Bay later this month and I've heard only bits about a new restaurant called Oasis. I believe the owner is from New Orleans. Does anyone have additional info on this place? What kind of things are on the menu, price, hours? I've searched online but no luck.
Thanks!

Recommendation for one casual lunch in Cruz Bay?
We are staying in Coral Bay and plan to spend the majority of our trip on that side of the island (we have stayed in Coral Bay before). However depending on what time we arrive, we may need to venture back to Cruz Bay to sign paperwork for our rental car. If that is the case, we plan to snorkel at H...

Re: Is Hansen Bay the beach across from Vie's Snack Shack?
Great, thanks! I do have Gerald Singer's book and have been utilizing his website as well. Based on the map I have, it looks like Haulover Bay comes just before and Hansen, and from the pic (thanks, lprof) it seems like Vie's is right at the start of Hansen across the street. My husband and I visite...

Is Hansen Bay the beach across from Vie's Snack Shack?
I'm trying to get the lay of the land for planning our day in the East End. I sometimes see Vie's mentioned together w/Hansen ie: Vie's/Hansen; and it also mentioned that there is a beach across from Vie's that her family owns that you pay her a few $$ to access. Is the beach across from Vie's that ...

Re: July Full Moon Party at Miss Lucy's
We will be on St. John 7/16-7/23 so if Miss Lucy does have the Full Moon Party on the 22nd that would be a great way to cap off our trip! This is our second time on St. John. My husband and I went for our anniversary 10 years ago when our kids were still toddlers and they stayed home w/the grandpare...

Best restaurants & a take-out deli in Coral Bay?
Hello . . . We will be staying in Coral Bay in July - our last visit was 10 years ago. I've done my research and have a what I think is a pretty good list of dining options in Coral Bay, but I'd love to hear some more recent travelers' favorite places to eat in the Coral Bay area (prefer reasonably ...

Thanks, Pia! Has he been there a while? My husband I stayed in Coral Bay about 10yrs ago and rented from a place on the main road in Coral Bay that was small and rustic but we were very pleased w/our gear.

Snorkel gear rental near Coral Bay?
We are headed to St. John this summer (family of four, 2 kids ages 10 & 12) and will need to rent snorkel gear for the week. We are staying in Coral Bay so something nearby would be best. Any suggestions on where we can rent our snorkel gear?
Thanks in advance!

Grocery store in Coral Bay?
Hello - We last visited Coral Bay about nine years ago and the only place to buy groceries in Coral Bay was a very cramped mini-mini mart. We are planning on eating out in Coral Bay most meals, but I was wondering if there are any new options in Coral Bay to purchase the basics (cereal, milk, eggs, ...
