I'm not familiar with Motu, where is it? Always like to find a new place to have a drink.

Thanks Eagle Ray Lover, we are very close to Oxford and might be able to make it. It looks like fun.

Re: Great stateside fundraiser for the ACC
We do live in Maryland and like to support the ACC but I don't see any mention of it on the link?

Re: Wife's Birthday Dinner!
If you want to stay in town I'l second the suggestion for La Tapa. We've never had a disappointing meal there. If you don't mind the drive to the east end I suggest Sweet Plantains. Friday is Caribbean curry night, our favorite.

My ticker is now just double digits!
Very excited for out 7th trip to SJ! This is our second time going in early December, we really enjoyed it last time. We like to try different locations/types of lodging and this will be our first time staying at Gallows Point. In the past we've stayed at villas in Rendevous Bay, Chocolate Hole, Cor...

Re: Bongo Bongo - See you soon!
Congratulations! I'd be surprised if Bongo Bongo doesn't get a grade of at least a 9. We stayed there 5 years ago and loved everything about it! The pool with the waterfall is wonderful and much larger than we've had at any other villa. The large outside living area with comfortable furniture was on...

Re: St. John Off The Beaten Track App for iPhone
Haven't tried this one but I do have "The St John App" and it works really well offline. It has a map showing the location of many of the beaches, facilities and a snorkel map. Also has links to restaurants and shops. It does have an online section but it isn't necessary to use the app.

Re: Restaurant for special occasion
It doesn't have the view of the others mentioned but I think La Tapa has the best food on the island. We went there for our anniversary last year, I mentioned it and we had a very nice table on the patio (inside). We've eaten there many times and never had a bad meal. If you are staying in Coral Bay...

Re: New owners of Woody's bought Iguana Grill
Yes very old news:) (there are two or three threads already here) and Todd the previous Woodys owner has purchased JJ's and will take over in August. Pia Does that mean we now won't have to wait an hour to get a menu a JJ's :-) After we found Cafe Livin we haven't been back to JJ's but might give i...

Re: STJ US Virgin Islands Webcam Map
Jeez Sherban thanks a lot, now in addition to my daily morning visit to this forum, the SJ Spice webcam and the TA forum, now I have to find another 15 minutes or so in my morning checking out all the other webcams. :D Seriously thanks for this and the villa map, both are terrific resources and you ...

Re: Confused about how VRBO works
Until recently we had a rental house on the outer banks of North Carolina. We had a contract with a rental company that prohibited us from renting on our own without giving them their management fee. We advertised on VRBO at our expense and listed both our email and the email for the management comp...

Re: Bay Rum Breeze Or Villa Tiffany
The villa was pretty new when we rented it and it needed a more kitchen items including glassware (we only had plastic wine glasses) but other than that it was great. The hot tub is set between the pool and the grill area and there isn't really much of a view from it or from the pool for that matter...
