Our group stayed at Southern Cross last week. For anyone interested in staying there in the future and wondering whether you can get a taxi to/from the villa to Cruz Bay, the beaches, etc., the answer is YES! Even though we rented a large jeep to accomodate our party, it was nice to taxi in/out of t...

The true master suite upstairs overlooks Chocolate Hole while the second upstairs suite overlooks the Caribbean and pool. The master is the roomiest with the second upstairs suite being a clo...

The stalled Pond Bay construction project is visible out to the left but do not consider it a deterrent to ...

I haven't tuned into the nightly news lately so this question may have been covered but I haven't seen it.... why does it seem like we are having so many earthquakes lately?

Are there the same amount as there have always been and we are are just more aware of them because of news 24 hours a day?

Liamsaunt, please tell those of us that are new to this forum that you are a world class chef at a famous restaurant. Otherwise, I am amazed  at the works-of-art that you prepare! Something tells me that every course you make is as delicious as it appears in your photos. Hope STJ gave you bot...

Tinkerbelldee on another forum mentioned a product called Purex 3 in 1. It is a lightweight laundry sheet that has the laundry detergent, fabric softener, and anti-static all built in. I bought some the other day. If the product works well, I plan to throw a few sheets in a zip lock and bring it to ...

Am grateful for all the good advice and comments. While you'll always need to grocery shop on St. John, it's nice to be able to prepare ahead and maybe bring things that you'll know you'll need but prefer not to buy. Smaller grocery store list = less time in the market and more time in the land of f...

Thanks for mentioning paper plates and napkins. Might be nice to also throw in some plastic cutlery for picnics on the beach.

This brings me to another question....is there a paper/bottle recycling program on STJ? Hope so!
