boat suggestions, snorkel The Indians
Hello,
Would love to hear suggestions/experiences to help us choose a boat (open to type of boat) out of STJ, for a day trip for two couples to snorkel the indians, have lunch, etc. Thanks for help!

logistics of day trip to Jost?
Any advice/experiences of a daytrip to Jost would be appreciated. Two of us plan to take the ferry over for just a day trip, we want to take a hike or walk first, eat lunch at Foxy's maybe, then beach/cocktails till ferry back. Any advice on hiking/walking trails, and how best to get to them? Also o...

Far Niente may fit your bill. We rented it through Viva Villas (vivacations.com). Great for families, we are renting it again next year.

So can anyone comment on the view from the downstairs area? Any other suggestions for a view restaurant, or special atmosphere, but not Asolare?? T...

favorite place
Far Niente is our favorite, very peaceful, well kept up and equipped, nice pool, awesome pool deck, close to town. Second is Points of View, not as nice a house, but panoramic views, peaceful too!

villa comparison
Just wanted to chime in because I saw that you mentioned Far Niente and St John Passion, and we have stayed at both. They are not comparable as Far Niente is well kept and modern, and St John Passion is old and showing it's wear, several things at STP did not work (including the pool when we were th...

fishing from a rented boat allowed?
Can anyone tell me if fishing around bays of St John from a rented boat is allowed? And also, is it worth it in anyones experience? Get anything? Don't want to lug our gear down unless we are allowed and it's worth it. Thanks for advice.

can a minivan make the hills??
We always rent a SUV, but are considering a minivan this time to fit 6 people plus all our beach/snorkel stuff. Has anyone rented a minivan, and if so, did you have trouble getting up some hills? Thanks for any info.

check out Far Niente
check out Far Niente listed on www.vivacations.com. We have stayed lots of places on STJ, and Far Niente was our favorite. It has great privacy, is very quiet, yet is only a short ride into town on all paved roads. Nice view from balconies and the pool deck, which is very large. Very well kept up to...

Our favorite is Far Niente. Two equal king bedrooms, and a third bedroom, setup offers great privacy. It is close to Cruz Bay, yet in a quiet area. The pool deck is awesome. Has A/C in whole house and has everything you need. We have stayed many places on STJ, and this one was our favorite. PM me wi...

Party Boat to Yost??
I seem to recall from a few years back, reading about a party boat trip (catamaran type that took 15 to 20 people) from STJ to Yost and back for a day trip, but can't find it now. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for any info!
