@ Augie
@Augie...... That is one of the flattest places on St. John. I run out in coral bay every time my son goes to KATS, Kid and the Sea, and that flat stretch is always welcome after the hills. Also out at Maho Bay Beach you can run to Francis and then out to Leinster, all fairly flat and some of the mo...

I have lived on St. John 23 years and Rich and Cris hands down have run the most consistent eatery on St. John that caters to tourist and locals alike. One of my best friends works there. It would be very easy to pinpoint who the waitress was by your check and day you were there. This should be brou...

Breathing while running
Hi, The best way I have found to breath is the 2-2 method. Breathing in every 2 steps and out the other 2. You will be taking one full inhale and exhale every 4 steps. Also it is very helpful to "Belly Breath" Take as much oxygen into your core in a relaxed manner as possible. You can get a...

8 TUFF MILES Litter Patrol
I was only referring to certain areas where litter is abundant. Over all comparing the two I will agree St Thomas is much worse. I see the litter from a different visual. Running along the north shore and looking down towards the beach side of the road are hundreds of thousands of pieces of litter n...

I will see you at the race. WOW 8-10 of you, a lot of people power. I need your help. The last litter patrol is this Saturday the 21st. 8 TUFF MILES
Hello to all. Last year I was able to donate $4600 to the college scholarship fund for the 8 tuff miles annual road race and would love to do it again this year but simply stated, this is the worst I have ever seen on St. John for retail in the 21 years I have owned stores here. Please help with a d...

I just ran by Peter Bay this morning. Your best bet would be to head East toward Cinnamon and Maho Bay. The roads are not heavy with traffic and mornings, as early as possible will reward you with the coolest temps. Today had a cool breeze with a mist of rain, just perfect! I have a runners blog and...
