How hard will it be to get over to St John and back?

So we are heading out on Dec 29th. Couldnt get a car in St John, so had to go the St Thomas route. But I am hearing they are down to one barge right now. What it like? And I going to be in a tough situation?

Me too, but I can't get one until Dec 29th and we arrive on the 27th and we are in Cruz bay so it's not like it will be easy to get to and get around.

We will be on St John Monday Dec 29 for 7 nights. Who has the best deals on island for a jeep rental. We would like to find one that lets us take the top down, but affordability and reliably is more important. Thanks!

We are thinking about going to St John over New Years Eve week and would love to go to Foxy's for NYE. Are there charter boats, sort of like snorkeling day trips, that will take you to Foxys that night?
