Good Morning Gang! Just got back from 7 fabulous days on the Islands, and a trip report will be in the making. Need to get caught up to work first. However, major depression has set in being back in STL. The only thing helping me get through this 7 degree weather is the possibility that my family ma...

Tortola Advice Needed
My apologies for posting this on a USVI board, but its the best forum!!! Background: Flying into STT 12/15. Staying on STJ for four nights. Originally going to stay final 2 nights on STT, but may change this. I was going to propose to my girlfriend during the trip, but I got the itch and decided to ...

6PAQ and Low Key
Can anyone comment on experience with these shops? 6PAQ has some unique packages, but they are very pricey compared to Low Key. I will be diving and my girlfriend just snorkeling. However, 6PAQ quoted the same price for each person regardless of if they were diving or not, which to me seems odd. Low...

Most stunning beach for proposal
OK gang, as most of you know, the big question will be popped on island in December. I am trying to figure out which beach would offer the ideal setting (mix of beauty, privacy, etc). I haven't really been to any South Shore beaches. So, I ask, if you (mainly the women) could experience getting prop...

STJ 12/17-23 as well. I pose a dreaded weather question, but its not 'the forecast predicts rain everday, should I be worried.' Actually, I guess it is. Is the latter part of December less rainy than the beginning? I have read that the drier months are Jan through March, and December is the end of t...

Accomodation Question
Good Morning Gang, I posted a note a week back regarding my upcoming plans for an engagement proposal on island in December. We will be hopping around, and staying on STJ just three nights. My question is, when evaluating places to stay, how important is a 'higher quality' place when typically we ar...

Sailview does look really nice and secluded, and its CHEAP! Three night minimum, which works fine. I have no issues driving on the island, but is that a rough drive from Cruz Bay in the evening? While I like the seclusion, I also like the 'bustling' activity in CB. Estate Lindholm looks really nice,...

Nothin, I like the catering idea. Unfortunately, we are only on STJ for three nights, so I am considering just renting one of Cruz Views or Suite Dreams for a few nights due to its proximity to CB. Perhaps I should consider Coral Bay for the exact opposite reason, more peaceful and romantic. Do any ...

Thanks to everyone for their welcomes and advice! Another question, can you get a bottle of Dom Perignon or Vueve Clicquot at Starfish? And I need to familiarize myself with the search function, but the next item is a nice restaurant. I am also curious as to differences on island between December an...

Thanks for the advice so far! I agree that its evil to make her think that the proposal will come the first night, but in my mind its the only way to make her think its not going down on this trip. I also was thinking of doing a horseback ride, but I think they are only guided tours. I don't want to...

On STJ the first three nights, STT the last two. She will know something is going on due to the suprise trip. So, I am thinking about telling her we are going to have a special dinner the first night (where she will expect the proposal), only to not pop the question. That way she may suspect that it...
