Woodley Park and Dupont Circle are both on the Red Line of the Metro. Its not far from the Mall and an easy cab ride or metro ride. There are a slew of hotels within just a few blocks from small boutique to large Marriots. Also the restaurant scene is excellent in both neighborhoods.

I just bought AA tickets for the end of May. We'll leave DCA at 6:05am, fly through Miami and if all goes according to plan be on STT by 12:40 and heading to the ferry. Our return flight is through Miami as well.
