We are going in November and are staying at Le Virage. I was wondering if anyone had stayed there lately? Any updates?

Mia - you are right & I 100% agree. We decided to forgo any dining at Caneel. We throughly enjoyed Tage, Miss Lucy's, Island Blues, Shipwreck (though service was sllloooowww), Vie's and Skinny Legs. Not all fine dining, but all delicious just the same!

I feel like I HAVE TO rent this house next time ... if for no other reason than to help these guys make their mortgage. Though, I don't feel so bad for them ... they do afterall OWN a house on STJ.

We had a horrible time trying to book a reservation at Equator when we went last May. Finally gave up! Couldn't get a straight answer about when they would be open, what would be open, etc. Good luck!

Bermuda would be my pick if not St. John. Its absolutely gorgeous plus very safe. A little too proper for my taste, but very nice. On St. Martin it totally depends on where you stay.
