Re: CA ferry vs. RH ferry?

I suspect that you want to avoid the 5:30 CA ferry "if" your Jeep rental company doesn't do late pick-ups as some close at 5pm, with after hours times up to 8pm. The other reason may be the fact that it gets dark at 6:30 virtually every day. If you are comfortable getting to your villa (or...

St John Spice Q

Hey all! Is St John Spice still selling license plate frames? You remember the one. Looked sorta like this one? The one on the front of my Jeep here in Canada is awfully faded after a couple of Canadian winters.... http://i1.cpcache.com/product/370384258/st_john_license_plate_frame.jpg?color=NA&...

Re: Can I make a 8:15 am flight??

Agree with everyone else.
Timing is just too tight.

We looked briefly at an 8:50am flight and that seemed too tight for us so I can't imagine trying to make an 8:15.

Besides, why stress yourself...plenty of time for that when you actually do get home, whatever time that happens to be

Re: Best tip yet ...for newbies

Our first trip in 2003 we took one checked bag and 2 carry-on. The only reason was that we got married on island that trip so took our wedding "stuff" and everything else that we didn't know better about already. 5 trips later (and one in less than 3 months woo hoo!) we have done carry on,...

Re: Snorkeling

Another vote for Maho. There are no "quick drop-offs" that you can float over which tend to scare the un-initiated more than deep water does in my experience (meaning my wife's reaction snorkeling over wall drops on Roatan!) Maho was made for peaceful, easy going beach time along with the ...

Re: Home for two with pool and AC

Hey there. Really depends when you are going for price of course, but we (just my wife and I) have stayed at Casa Ya Ya in past. Reasonable in off season, 2 bedrooms and a large deck that looks down on Coral Bay etc http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/property/casa-ya-ya/ You could also try Aria if you wa...

Thanks a bunch for all the responses. After reading through them, we now know where the condos are, seems like a good spot for us. Thanks for all of the other recommendations as well. Gives us lots to consider. Seeing as we are going sort of last minute during the off season, the cost of acommodatio...

Hello there....Cruz views?

Hi there, Been on this forum a number of times in the old format, but not since it changed over to the new format. Anyhow, heading back to St. John first week of Oct. and was wondering if anyone out there has any input on Cruz Views. Been to St. John twice in the last 4 years (once for our wedding, ...
