New Webcam - Almost the Fruits of Our Labor

Post by benchill »

After an uneventful flight down, Ron and I got started early. Basically, I brought all the stuff down and Ron hung on the ladder drilling, wiring and aiming.

The hard parts are done. The cam is mounted, powered and fed back to the router. We haven't played with the zoom, or tweaked the focus, or anything else. Just did the hard work of getting it going.

Take a look and see. Don't know what happens when it gets dark, we will adjust that tomorrow as well.

We are aiming for a Wednesday afternoon launch. Maybe we can hear from everyone if they can attend the launch party via webcam.

Looks great - so clear! I'll be at the launch party - now I have to figure out what to wear to the premier :)

Will the camera be facing the beach at all? I like the dock but what to do about sandscrit if you don't see the sand???

That is pretty nice. If only I didn't have to wait a year to get drunk and wave at it.

Don't worry, final aim will be Sandscrit Prioritized. This is still in test phase.
