From a local source, word is not good about Lindy. Any info from anyone on island?

Wasn't he briefly hospitalized just recently? Lindy is Lindy and I don't think he will change his course for the better before he passes. I don't think it is possible for him to get any skinnier though! I guess we have enabled him in the past by giving him a few dollars or cigarettes. We even gave hime some leftovers from La Tapa. I hope he enjoyed the beef broquets.

Yes, he had been hospitalized. He had just been released before we arrived Oct 10. He appeared impossibly thin. Sadly, word is that he has passed.

I can't really say I'm surprised, but if true, very sad. If I remember correctly, he didn't choose to stay in the hospital to get better. At any rate, he is choosing/has chosen his fate.

I hadn't heard that he died? I saw him last week...He is very very thin and he is very sick. He told me that he had to have surgery on his throat back in July. I don't think he ever did, but I know he is sick.

Lindy passed away last night, on election night.

That is a shame to hear. I know he has been sick for quite some time.

Lets hope his demons don't follow him to where ever he is going and he can have some peace.

Is this true? I believe his passing has been reported before. When we visited in early October, I saw Lindy quite a few times. His physical being was shocking - one of our friends traveling with us is a nurse, and she was shocked by his appearance. He was/is so very, very sick. I don't know the story behind his life, but his appearance was certainly heartbreaking.

Yes, it is true. I asked my fiancee this morning and he just confirmed it for me. Lindy was a "cousin" of his. I don't know any other details other than he died last night.

That is really sad to hear. I am praying for Lindy and his family.
