Prayer Request - HIKERS FOUND!! Thank you for your help! :)

Post by California Girl »

This came to me in my e-mail this morning. It's from a girl I've known all my life, who now lives in Duluth, MN. Please help pray for these two women who have disappeared. Thanks!
My 23-yr-old daughter's best friend's sister is missing. She and a friend went hiking last Friday and were expected back by Monday at the latest. Please pray for their safety and please send this around. This isn't a "forwarded" message from someone unknown. You won't find it on Snopes. This is Veronica's best friend's sister. We've known the family for 9+ years since we moved to Duluth. Thank you!

California Girl, The fact that they were pretty well prepared both equipment-wise and hiking experience wise gives me a lot of hope that they'll be found. Hoping hard for a happy ending.

CG I've been keeping them in my thoughts. Do you have an update? I tried googling and found this graphic, but there's no article text with it. I'm hoping it means they're OK!

Katie - The graphic must have been updated, because is now says "Missing Hikers Found and Rescued". And I just received this e-mail from my friend:
Thank you for your prayers!! I know no details except they were found alive!!

Missing Hikers Located And "Appear Healthy"

The two female hikers that have been reported missing have been located, and appear healthy, according to Chief Deputy Leif Lunde of the Cook County Sheriffs Department. 42 year old Maria Jacenko and 23 year old Grace Knezevich were expected home on this past Sunday. A helicopter is being used to evacuate the women. It is not known at this time where the women were found. Stay tuned to the stations of the NewsCenter for the very latest.
Thank you EVERYONE for your prayers! Apparently that stuff works! :D

As soon as I know more, I'll post it.
