Hey Xislandgirl,

Stinks coming back I bet. Looks like a peaceful, happy place to me! Is it a rental? Thom and I are thinking of renting a place in Maine or the Cape towards the end of next Summer and I've got to start researching soon I guess.
Usually we stay around Sebago area as I have a brother in Fryeburg. Maybe we'll stay along the coast this time though.

Anyway, that sunrise looks beautiful! Hope you guys had a blast. Boy I miss New England and Indian Summer!!

It is a little sad coming back but we will be back in May so I will survive.

It is not a rental. It is a family house and I am extremely lucky enough to be a friend that is considered family. It is on Great Pond in Belgrade Lakes and really one of the most peaceful places on earth.

Marybeth, have you ever been up in the dead of winter? We are planning a trip this year. There will be no running water and the only heat will be the woodstove......I am so scared  I told Chip that I would only stay for 2 nights. What am I thinking?

I don't think I will icefish, but I will skate and snowmobile. I am really scared....I am a wimp. Winter in STJ would have me wearing longsleeves and socks.

Grey Havens is a great inn. Only problem is that during certain parts of the summer, come dusk in that area (Reid State Park etc.), you can get hungry skeeters the size of small sparrows come out.
