The hardest thing is getting off of "island time" and going back to wearing closed in shoes...or shoes at all for that matter.

I feel for you ATG :(

ATG - I am feeling your pain and I haven't gone and come back yet!! :) I know that is how I am going to feel once I come back. I wonder every day why am I here. I do think I finally have my husband talked into us moving somewhere warm once he retires though. So maybe all is not lost for me. Ha! Welcome home!!!

Nothingtolose - That "is" one of the hardest things to do after coming back from a beach vacation...learning how to wear shoes again. I thought it was just me!! I'm glad to know there are others out there just like me and that I am not alone!!!

The thing I have the hardest time with, is putting long pants & socks on!

How about driving back on the right side of the road when driving home from the airport?! :? That's always fun.

coming home

Post by sea-nile »

It is so hard to come home! :(
I haven't ever gone in the winter though. It's not so hard to come home in the summer. How do you dress for the trip? Do you wear layers or change on the plane?

It is so sad coming home knowing all the anticipation and vacation relaxation is over. There is only one cure. Start planning your next trip!! :P

sea-nile - We ususally go on vacation in Jan or Feb and I wear jeans and tennis shoes to wherever I am going. I wear the same thing back at the end of the trip, plus I pack my coat into my checked luggage, on top, and pull it out once I hit my home airport.
