Post by VayCay »

Hello, I need to know which map you guys would reccomend for a new traveler to St. John....Not really looking for a map to ride around w/in the jeep, but someting we can lay out at the villa to plan our days! Please chime in on which map you use.

Franko's Map?
National Park Map?
Something else?

I like the National Geographic map in general and the Trail Bandit map for hiking. Caribmart.com for buying.

I have searched far and wide for a better map than the free NPS one and have yet to find one (one of those activities I’ve consumed myself with over the years when I’m missing STJ). The government map really is great.

I third the National Geographic map. We like it so well we bought a second when we misplaced the first one. Haven't seen the others mentioned.

Is the National Geographic map something you can pick up on the island? We are leaving in exactly two weeks and I'm afraid if I order it on line I will not get it in time.

Yeah, I've printed it and taken it with me but always end up using the big one the NPS provides instead...it's just easier to read their version :)

It was a random meeting of two in Rick's party on the flight to STT. They were curious about getting around. I pulled the Nat'l Geo and Trail Bandit maps from my back back...sorry for snaking your guests Rick!
