Count me in! I live in NH, but work in downtown Boston so a weeknight (or a Friday night) would work best for me, since I'm already here. :D

Ooops - sorry, just read your whole post. I can certainly come into town on a Saturday, not a problem.

If I can hotwire a cheap room (or sleep in NH with Paula) I am in!

I can't do that weekend because it is my birthday weekend and I've already invited a bunch of people to come over. Bummer!

I did want to give you guys a heads up though, that Boston is going to be crazy busy that weekend--lots of commencements. So, if you end up with a big group, make sure you make a reservation as soon as possible. And avoid the North End at all costs! It will be a zoo.

Liamsaunt, that is my birthday weekend too. (I am the 19th).

And I would be interested in a little Boston gathering some time, just not this particular weekend.

No birthday weekend here (Don's is the following week) -

Saturday night would work best - either in or outside the city; a weeknight will depend on travel schedules.

With reservations, the North End would be doable (except to park). The Red Sox are in town and playing a 3:55pm game.

X - I got $100 4* in the Back Bay on Priceline a couple of weeks ago.

We're looking forward to this get-together. We finally get to meet a lot of the people who have been so helpful to us over the last year. 8)

You just tell us when and where and we will be there.

Is there someplace that makes a good bushwacker???? :D

Joe Tecce's, Florentine Cafe, Cottonwood Cafe, Legal Seafood, Plaza III in Quincy Market, Abe&Louie's or Ruth's, early drinks at Top of the Hub.

OK, I am not coming because of my birthday, as I mentioned, but I just HAVE to chime in on some of these places. Joe Tecce's is TERRIBLE! Don't go there, you will be miserable.

Cottonwood Cafe is more of an after work pickup joint for twenty-somethings. They do have tasty margaritas though.

Drinks at Tob of the Hub would be fun for the views, but their food is really mediocre. FYI, they have a per person minimum, even on the bar side....last time I was there I think it was $20.

If I insulted someplace that you really like, I apologize. :( But, I had two of the worst meals if my life at Joe Tecce's, and I just had to share my opnion.

Have fun, whereever you decide to go! :D

PS: According to jmq on the off-topic forum, I posted about food so you all have to take a drink now.
