Bareboat Charter for a few days

Post by pswlrw »

Hi all,

Two of the people in my group of 9 traveling in April would like to rent a sailboat for a couple of days. Does anyone know of a company that will rent for just 1 or 2 nights, rather than entire week? Thanks!

I know that we was planning to limit his charters this year, but try Clark on White Wing. I know that he used to do a 2 or 3 day charter.

Thanks X, but this couple wants to do a bareboat. My cousin's new hubby is apparently an experienced sailor, so they want to spent a few nights sailing around.

Your best bet would be something out of STT. I do know you can rent from The Bitter End Yatch Club on Virgin Gorda for short term, but then you have to get there and back and that would probably take a good part of a day each way.

Most bare boats go out of the BVIs because of their tort laws

Check with CYOA in Charlote Amalia. http://www.cyoacharters.com

It's not there normal thing but if they have an opening you might be able to work something out.

I recently went to sailing school through Fair Wind Sailing School and we set sail from St. Thomas.
They also offer sailing charters, but I'm not sure if there's a minimum amount of time:

"Ready for a caribbean sailing charter? How about a catamaran sailing charter in the Virgin Islands? Through our sailing charter sibsidiary, the Catamaran Sailing Charter Co., Fair Wind Sailing now offers crewed and bareboat yacht charters on your choice of catamarans or monohulls."

Hope this helps. Ali~
