Rick G - car rental St. Thomas

Post by tara »

Hi Rick -
I noticed you are planning on renting a car in St. Thomas on your upcoming trip. We have also been to STJ several times, but this is the first we are doing the STT car pickup. Which company did you end up going with? Just hoping I could picggy back off your extensive research:)

Thanks!

We are going with Dependable, on FlaGeorge's recommendation. They are pretty easy to work with. This is my first time, so I'll report back on how well it works.

The way they work reservations is that you can send them a reservation request. They will respond with a quote and ask you to call them to make the reservation. 12% discount for booking online, 25% discount for a 1 week rental.

Cheers, RickG

They’re good people and a good operation. They were right there at the airport to pick us up – no waiting. With us, the vehicle they picked us up in – was the one we got to use. So, once the luggage was loaded – all we had to do was sign the papers and we were off.

We also used Dependable on STT in August. It was a breeze. We got a great vehicle (4-door Jeep Wrangler)and driving to Redhook was uneventful. It was our first time renting a car on STT and we didn't have a bit of trouble.
