Last day trip report/parafins#9

Post by parafins »

As promised,this is my last 1/2day trip report.7/25.I will title this report,"Cruz Bay Fights" I called C&C car rental around 8:30 a.m. and ask how long could I keep my jeep.They told me after nine it would be $20.00 per hour up to 2 hrs.After that it would be a full day rental.Fair enough!The jeep was packed by 9:00 and off we went on the north shore drive.I love this drive and it's a good way to finish a vacation.We stopped at most of the pull oversImageand finished up at Annaburg.I just had to say goodbye to Waterlemon :cry: We returned to Cruz bay just before 11:00 a.m.and I dropped the family off there. I returned the jeep and walked back to town.Guess who was there?? That's right Luna!! And yes,it didn't take long for her to fight with a man who refused to help her.I think he told her to bugg off.Man did she lose it! She tossed her jacket down and cursed him up and down.It would have made a sailor blush! Nothing happened after that,he just left and she picked up her things and went away.At that point I looked up at the bandstand where the taxi drivers gather.One taxi driver came up to another and wanted to punch his lights out! :shock: I heard on guy say "I don't want to fight you man": After a few words he left.That too ended peacefully{I think}By this time with all the excitement we walked over to JJ's for lunch. Soon it was time to leave and head over to Charlotte A. to do some last minute shopping.We dropped in at Beans,Bites,and,Websites.Good Mango smoothies!My wife and daughter went over to Gladys restaurant for hot sauces.$35.00 worth!From there we went to the airport and checked in our bags and shuffled through screening.Well ,when we packed the hot sauces in town we had been rushing things.I think you know the rest of the story...we packed our hot sauces in our CARRY-ON!!aHHH :x And yes they took them. :cry: So let this be a lesson to you,don't rush. At this point I will leave you with a few pics and again, that you all for your kind words.ParafinsImage{Maho Bay,East.}Image{Blue Headed Wrasse,Haulover-North.This is my favorite pic!}Image{Flower@Brown Bay}

My stepdaughter did the same thing with her hot sauce as well, a few hours earlier that very same day. Maybe the TSA staff held a tasting that day :-)

This has been fun. Thanks for the stories and the pics of the family.

So, would the kids love to back again? Did they have any favorite activities?

Cheers, RickG

Thanks Parafins -

Very enjoyable reports and pictures. My hubby packed the hot sauce in his carry-on too this past June. What a bummer. We watched them toss it into the trash can. UUUGGGHH!!!

Thanks again!

Tracy - I can't believe they tossed it in the trash can! I bet they go through those cans at the end of the day and keep what they want - you know...a perk of being a TSA employee :lol:

Well,thats the sad part....My daughter is up for braces this winter.Then Tyler{middle child}should get them the year after that.Let's see..That's two S.T.J. trips!!Ahhh! But this is what happens when you have children who could eat corn-on-the-cob through a picked fence! :shock: O.K. It's not that bad..So to answer you question,about 3 or 4 years. :cry: If I can get there sooner I will.My dream would be to go every year.It's comming ,it just takes time.Parafins..

I hate to say it but the oldest seems to dislike the heat.She would decline at this point to go back.Maybe things will change.As for Tyler,my middle son He seems to like the snorkeling and hiking.That's my boy!!As for Danny,making sand castles and swimming.As far as the the group goes,the pool at the Westin was the favorite part.
