Any info. on Stone House Villa in Coral Bay?

The house looks great from their website. Looks like it's owner rented. Has anyone stayed here?

I googled it but couldn't find a site. I think I stayed there a few years back. Could you post the link to the house you are referring to ?

I think that St John Stonehouse is listed with St John Properties:

http://www.stjohnproperties.com/villas_stonehouse.html

It also has its own web site:

http://www.stjohnstonehouse.com/

And VRBO:

St John Stonehouse

I know the villa well. We stayed there in 1995 or 1996 and it was called Beausoliel. It has the dancing dolphin decal in the pool.
We absolutely loved the views over to the end of Tortola and also down island to Norman, Peter and part of what I think was Virgin Gorda on a clear day.
The house was very much open air and we stayed there in the month of October so it was very buggy. It seems they have closed in a lot of the space with beautiful windows. The stonework was wonderful.
It was owned at the time by a couple who were foreign service officers and it was getting a little shabby and weather-beaten, but I think it was sold since then. I have the old brochure here in front of me and it looks like they did a lot of renovation.
We rented it through Destination St John so John Brego may have kept up with its' history. Its definitely a St John classic.

Sorry, that's not the house I stayed in. It was called something like Stone House, and overlooked John's Folly, but I've never seen it on the rental market since we stayed there a few years back..

Mia,
The one you have the website for is the villa that I was looking at. Just wondering if there are screens on the windows? There is a/c, but those darm mosquitos can be a problem in May.

Susan,
I have looked at this villa many times online and I have the same concern as you. I can't see screens; I'm thinking that there may not be any. Perhaps the large doors have screens on the bottom quarter where there is some type of grill work. It does appear to have much charm and character....I've hesitated because of the screen issue and also its age. I quess we've been spoiled by staying at newer villas. :) ....mia
