Leaving Friday.
For the first time.
With a spouse who doesn't have a birth certificate with a raised seal (original state dept. cert. is with much delayed passport app.
Gotta a feeling I'm going to need some tropical beverages.
Hope she can re-enter the US.
Passport people say it will be sent overnight today. Don't have much confidence in that!

Personally, I would start drinking now. Dark and Stormy:
1 part Goslings Black Seal
3 parts Barritt's Ginger Bear
over ice
Cheers, RickG
sounds like a plan!

The Chicago area is being overrun by millions (not kidding) of seventeen

sea-nile: I guess you don't get the cicadas up in WI? Friends of mine went camping there over the weekend and only saw 2 -- I was amazed because we are overrun! The air sounds like a million tiny maracas are being shaken in the trees.
jp -- have a great trip!

I think we are supposed to get them and I remember some 17 years ago. I haven't seen one yet though. I live about 1 mile from the Illinois border so I think we may get them. Got any recipes?
