Day Six
Tony decides to get up early again and scout out another sunrise shot. Beautiful.

We regroup, and the democracy decides on Hawksnest this morning. I'm outvoted, and this is my least favorite beach on St. John. Every time I go here, something weird/bad happens. Sure enough, the beach is packed with people who just give me an uneasy feeling. I bring my waterproof wallet into the water with me, and....I lose it. Hawksnest is now on my St. John blacklist.
We continue on down the road to Annaberg. It's so fun seeing this well traveled place through new eyes. And of course, we have a little photo shoot for fun. Tony sets the timer on his camera to get a group photo.

I guess I'm feeling photogenic today. Mike gets some good pictures here.

We go back to the villa so I can grab some cash to replace the lot I donated to Poseidon, and we have a little lunch.
The group cheers me up by voting for an East End afternoon. I've never had enough time to really explore this portion of the island, and I'm excited to get out and see something new. We LOVE the drive out there, terrifying and beautiful all at once.

We're driving slowly, taking it all in, and when I suddenly yell "PULL OVER!" at the top of my lungs, I startle the whole crew. Tony quickly pulls the car into one of the spaces by Haulover and I book it full speed to the beach. I found Angel's Rest! Yesssss!!! I quickly realize that the beach is the painful kind with lots of rocks, and there are lots of very small urchins right at shore. But nothing stops me, I wear my flip flops until it's deep enough to swim, and then pull them off and swim with them on my hands. I'm so glad I stopped home for more cash, I've been wanting to hang out here ever since I read about it a few months back. It doesn't disappoint.

I'm so excited to get where I'm going, I completely miss the spotted eagle ray that my group sees. I guess today just isn't my day, I've been on the hunt for a spotted eagle ray for 4 trips now. The hunt continues in November, I suppose!
We spend the rest of the day tooling around the East End, then head back to the villa for dinner and relaxation. My kind of Easter!
