What's on your Play List??

Post by Bigcheeze »

Getting the tunes ready...although most have been the same over the years. Somehow, some Greatest Hits still hold up even after 20+ years. So, here's my list on my Mp3 Player(yes I know I have an Iphone...but my old standby hooks into the aux plug in the rental car/villa)

In no particular order;

Kenny C Be as you are...Duh
Kenny C Greatest Hits
Tom Petty Greatest 1993
Beatles Hits
REO Hits
Barry White Greatest
Jimmy Buffett
AM Gold 1974
Life of Romance-Various
Frank S Live with Count
Ray Charles Greatest
Journey
80's pop
Moody Blues
CSN
RUSH
America
Eagles

Wow...is that a Classic Rock playlist...poor kids(but they love it)

You could throw some Zak Brown on there. And Jason Mraz has a few good island songs too. :)

Have a great trip! Although, Michigan is slowly starting to thaw. We are moving from our parkas to our regular winter coats now. Maybe in a week or two we'll put a spring jacket on

I second Zac Brown Band. I also have some Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, and most of the soundtrack from 50 First Dates.

If there is room on the iPod, you may want to consider the Clash, Talking Heads, Bob Marley and Kenny Chesney, Life on a Rock, the whole album.

Our taste runs all over the place.

Our favorite is:
Cool Change - LIttle River Band (an oldie - but, it does it for us!

Other loves:
Long Way There - Little River Band
Borderline - Inner Visions
Are you Ready - Inner Visions
Into the Night - Santana/Chad (from Nickelback)
I Like It - Enrique Inglesius
Oasis - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Hot Summer Night - Grace Potter
Medicine - Grace Potter
(If you don't know Grace Potter, "you tube" her. She is amazing. Very sultry, sexy voice. She did a duet with Kenny "Tequila and me". She is incredible. Check out the "you tube" for Medicine. If that doesn't get you "hooked" - nothing will.)

LOVE this thread and topic!!

Ours is very eclectic having been started by my son for one of our trips and added to over the years. Some not mentioned earlier...(and I am ripping some of those mentioned)
Love Shack - B52s (come on, how can you not if not for old times sake)
That's Right - L Lovett
The Perfect Wave - K Bowe
On the Beach - J Holt
Bongo Bong - M Chao (this just makes my wife smile, go figure)
Bimini Girl - Sun
Days I Can't Forget - Half Pint

and yes, this year we've added Happy (come on, how can you not)

These are all great lists. Our group (well ate least the women!) really like Abba - especially Dancing Queen, we tend to sing along . . . . Very loudly! I'm going to listen to some of the suggestions on the above lists that I am not familiar with. One year when we hit an especially rainy week on StJ, my husband created a play list of "rain" songs.

Keep the lists coming and I am going to create a special playlist for out upcoming trip. 8)
