Locally made jewelry?

Post by stjchica »

Hi all..
I love Caravan, but think a lot of their items come from other parts of the world..Are there any STJ jewelers who make jewelry there on STJ? Would like some local items..

Check Freebird at Dockside Mall downstairs from St. John Spice. Also Bamboo or Island Vibe.

We love R&I Patton. Rudy and Irene make beautiful things. I have several pieces from Irene and they always get complements.

I love VIBE and buy pieces from them every time I'm here. From what I've heard everything is made locally.

I second R&I Patton. Always gorgeous stuff, I seem to not be able to leave there without buying something. I love that they have locally made jewelry. I know that no one else at home will have the same piece. Definitely not like the box jewelry stores at the mall at home.

I 2nd (3rd?) Pattons, have purchased items there. Very different things and great to deal with. I bought my hook bracelet at Bamboo, they are made there and have a nice selection.

My favorites are V.I.be (Into the Blue) (They have 2 shops at Wharfside Village) and Bamboo Studio. Bamboo has a workshop behind the shop with a window that you can watch the jewelry artists at work. I have lots of items from both places.
