My top 5 has been whittled down to a top 3 over the years:

Rhumb Lines
Cafe Roma
Banana Deck

Some of my favorite meals in the entire world are served at those restaurants.

During our two STJ visits, we didn't try some of the more "upscale" dining spots (ZoZos, Asolare, The Terrace) which I'm sure are all outstanding, however here's my take on our favorites:

1) Fatty Crab - We like TFC's variety as compared to other local spots. Food is great and we think it's a good value as well. Great cocktails too!
2) Sun Dog Cafe - Great food - loved going on Wed night to hear some of the local talent perform.
3) Banana Deck - Love eating in the bar area. Can get a bit noisy when the Beach Bar has a band playing (only down side!)
4) Driftwood David's - Best burger in town as well as many other treats!! Love this place!
5) The Beach Bar - for pretty good sandwiches/burgers/apps when you've had a few drinks and are too "lazy" to leave the beat seat in town!
