One more way you know you're "eat up with it"
I was in NYC this weekend on 5th Avenue, just down the block from MOMA. And doggone if St. John clothing isn't on one corner, and St. Thomas Episcopal Church on the other. (5th Avenue is no Pillsbury Sound, believe me.) When you see this kind of thing everywhere you go, you realize your obsession is out of control.

I used to work right across the street from the St. John Knits corporate HQ in Irvine, CA. Every day when I went to work the sun would be glinting off these big gold letters on the corner - "ST. JOHN". Of course I, personally, never related it to knits when that sign was shining at me every morning!
We went through a town in Indiana called St John at Christmas and my kids pointed it out joking about my obsession. They also wanted to know why we don't switch our church to St. John's instead of St. Alphonsus because of my addiction. I bought a swimsuit and some clothes that are St John's Bay brand and my kid's again made fun of me that I bought them just for that. Maybe if I would have discovered St. John 12 years ago my son's name would be John instead of Michael.

My SO's oldest daughter and her hubby just bought a house on Bayou St. John here in New Orleans. It has a great front porch with chairs out on it.
Every time we go there, I like to sit on the front porch and stare at the water...granted it's not the Caribbean, but it'll suffice for now.

I walk by both a St. John and a St. Croix clothing store every day! Of course, the clothes in both places would definitely NOT work in the Caribbean, but that does not stop me from thinking about the islands every time I see them.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.
